Grievance Procedure:
There is a simple form (below) which can be drawn down from the company internal site which highlights the type of grievance, requests for information and rights , requests for assistance, a provision for supplementing or cancelling the grievance, and a process to proceed.
The process will be co-developed with staff members, and contractors, and reviewed and improved at semi-annual training and review meetings.
Most grievance procedures require unbiased consultation and information. Consultation allows the grieving member to better understand their grievance and its validity. With better information about the issue the grievance can proceed.
The company has appointed an independent professional familiar with the RJC Code of Practices and subject to a professional code of ethics as a Designated Reasonable Accommodation (DRA) contact to field initial grievance issues for the staff or contractors.
For example a grievance over discrimination on the basis of disability, if it could not be first be solved easily and internally, would be forwarded to the New York State authorities that deal with accessibility discrimination at its.sm.accessibility@its.ny.gov .
In extreme cases, any grievance of a criminal manner will be dealt with under applicable NYC, NYS or US law.
